Vilshenko FW12-13 already in Tsvetnoy!
The autumn winter 2012 collection takes its inspiration from elements of interior design in Russian aristocratic homes of the late 19th century. It pays tribute to distinct Russian heritage and folklore with an emphasis on detailed hand painting, laced metal accessories incrusted with gem stones and porcelain figurines dressed as Russian beauties.
The collection bursts with the vibrant, deep winter colours of precious stones such as ruby, emerald and ultramarine. Rich wine red and exotic blue bird contrasts with light translucent shades of Crème Brule, turquoise and more muted notes of green and washed cherry.
Silk dresses contour the body and cascade into voluminous full skirts in varying lengths creating a feeling of femininity and grace. Traditional embroidery is combined with beading on silk dresses and blouses while Russian shawls are developed in paisley and rhythmic patterns of colour on silk, chiffon and fine cashmere.
Simple elegant pants and skirts made of fine wool and silk are complemented with slightly boyish jackets and coats in boxy shape made of soft cashmere, while complete suits are created in velvet. Princess coats, fur coats and jackets display patchwork techniques while a knit pullover brings a sense of dramatic modernity with geometric diamond patterns.
